What Makes a Great Client for Us?

Company leadership is committed to the result
Business performance never stays the same. If you want to stay ahead, you have to change. The trouble is, people don't find this easy. If a project is to be successful, management has to make decisions and remain committed to their outcome. Projects succeed when senior management are committed to clear outcomes.

Decision makers take accountability
At the project's outset we must agree a clear scope with realistic timescales. You should be committed to establishing metrics to measure performance to verify that you're achieving the outcomes you want.

We work together as one team
Where projects are very successful, there is a warmly aligned team involved seeing the benefit of external support to raise the probability of corporate success. If you don't feel this is possible in your organisation then there is a cultural issue which we can also help you address.

Examples
CC1 supports large, medium and small organisations in both the private and public sectors. We have worked with a great range of clients including insurance, banking, major branded drinks, hospitality, marketing, IT, fashion and personal development. We can also say hand on heart to date that not a single client project has had anything but a great outcome.

Here are a range of recent case study examples.

Executive Board development for Jelf Insurance Group 2011

Jelf Logo

During Autumn 2011, we undertook a programme to help bring the Executive Board of the Jelf Group together. Jelf are a highly respected Insurance business. As a highly talented group of individuals all the team felt the need to operate more effectively together to achieve greater results.

The process involved 1:1 sessions with the entire team and specific profiling including the Group CEO. The team were then brought together for an off site workshop. Several months later and the team are all feeling the value and benefit from the programme and the relationship is developing into other mutually beneficial areas.

Chris developed and ran a two day  Executive Team Build for us.  The event was a real success, not only did everyone really enjoy the event but Chris's expert facilitation enabled us to make real and lasting progress.  Did the effect last?  Yes it did, the event really did improve team dynamics , team behaviours, and consequently team performance.

Sales Psychology for a Major Banks Wealth Team

During Summer 2011, CC1 engaged with the wealth team of a major international bank. The requirement was to help their phone based sales teams with the development of the emotional intelligence skills needed to effectively and authentically deal with high net worth clients.

A bespoke 2 day 'Sales Psychology' programme was trialed and developed. It was also assessed in detail by the delegates and learning and development team. Achieving an exceptionally high 95% total score.

It was fabulous to work with the company and to see how genuine and authentic many of the people in this business are despite all the negative press about financial institutions during 2011.

OK we could make some of this stuff or just choose the best ones but that would simply go against our principles. Here is a selection of some of the feedback.

'It covered off every objective we set at the start of the course and more'

'I learned how to adapt myself to other peoples personality profiles. This will be very useful when speaking to different types of clients. I will also use the building rapport and trust guidelines when speaking to a client. This will help me gain their trust and should help me to 'sell' to them'.

'Course was fantastic, well presented and i have taken a lot form the course that will use going forward'.

'fantastic experience and motivation for us all to learn and take value from this course'

We are currently reviewing the long term financial impact of this programme.

High Performance Transformation for Primary General Insurance

Primary General Logo

Primary General (now UK General) wished to transform the performance of its people. Initial intentions were to take on two suppliers to provide the breadth. However, following an extensive tender process CC1 were selected to cover all due to their higher value proposition. The programme included:

  • A 6 month Consultative Selling Programme for BDM's and Underwriters
  • Coaching for Managing Directors (each Regional MD was taught how to coach their people)
  • Team Leader Development Programme for all team leaders
  • Programmes 360 degree feedback via our web based tools
  • Team development for the PBS Holdings Management Team

The range of activities have been widely acclaimed as highly successful. A new way of thinking and behaving is emerging across the company and some of the financial results now coming through are making us feel very proud.  As a consequence we are now also supporting the development of the main holdings board.

'The CC1 training has been a great step forward in focusing effort and energy, creating a common understanding and a common language. There is already clear signs that it has been performance enhancing at an organisational level'

Tim Rolfe - CEO Primary General Insurance and Rural Insurance

Award Winning Project at Diageo

DiageoGlobalProcurement

CC1 supported Diageo in developing 13 self learning procurement modules for their Global Procurement team. These had to be completed against a very tight deadline covering the full spectrum of a procurement teams responsibilities.

Modules were written that could be supported by coaching from a line manager and made available on the companies intranet. Areas covered included e commerce, negotiation, portfolio analysis, market analysis, cost analysis, risk management, supplier management etc.

The view was that the project was an outstanding success.

Great Results, Personable, High Integrity. This project was specifically referenced as part of the submission of the European People Development in Procurement award, which Diageo went on to win
